Selection of NRT Backstop :
1. Determine the drive layout and submit the drive layout to our company.

3. Determine the required retarder torque

5. Select the retarder whose rated torque is equal to or greater than the torque obtained from the above formula according to page 4.
6. According to page 4, find the maximum allowable borehole. If a larger borehole is required, select the next larger size of the check valve or reduce the diameter of the mounting shaft.
7. Check the maximum allowable aperture based on the data on page 4. If a higher speed is required, please consult Company.
8. Check the reaction force of the check stopper torque arm block.
9. The size of the check valve and torque arm is listed on page 4, leaving room for installation.
10. Only the keys provided by Falk can be used.
If the check valve is installed at the dual extension shaft end of the reducer, the shaft stress must be verified, and a coupling should be used. Falk the coupling on the NRT side, a safety factor of at least 2.0 should be applied based on the combined efficiency.
Falk the selection of indexing applications, The check valve is rated for 100,000 reverse cycles. If the application requires more than 100,000 load cycles, submit the application details to Falk Company for selection.
